The front of the G-28 was not correct. Along with the changes necessary to the sides in front of the tires, there is a shoulder just above the license plate area that needed to be corrected. Although this shoulder exists on the standard Murcie, its not present on an LP-640. The pic below shows the front of a G-28 roadster, and the shoulder is highlited with an arrow.

Here is a picture of how the front of an LP-640 should look, and how mine looks after the change. In my opinion,it totally changed the look of the car, making it much more authentic looking.

Here is a picture of the LP-640 (G28) kits rear fender. As you can see, the fender shoulder is missing. It was a simple fix and really frames the wheel well opening just like the original.

Another thing that bothered me was the exhaust opening on the rear of the car. Not only was it the wrong shape, it was crooked ( lower on the left side and non-symetrical side-to-side). I re-cut the opening to the right shape, and glassed it up. Below is a pic of how it looked before, with a dotted line around the problem area . Below that is a picture of how it should look on the LP-640.

Heres another thing I was really glad I was able to accomplish. Someone on another thread on this forum was commenting on somebodys build that they (the builder) spent so much time on everything and left the gas cap on the wrong side! At first I didn't think much of it, but the more I thought about it, I realized he was right. The next day I went to the shop and moved my gas cap to the other side!

Heres a pic of the rear wheel well from the side. Its a little hard to see, but the shoulder goes all the way around.

You have guts for quite a few reasons.

Main one being those rims, with the car in that stage....

Looking really good though. More pictures!

With the comment about the wheels being used in construction that are to be used when completed.  I admit, I once made the mistake of fitting the body with the wrong offset (fiero) wheels that fit far in the wells without spacers.  Spent hundreds of hours fitting the body to the chassis, and then found the funds to purchase the wheels.   What a mistake that was, the wheel fitment inside the wheel well opening was off, and I ended up removing the rear clip, debonding the doors, and adding many, many hours in rework.  Heed this warning : Don't try to fit the body without having the wheels and tires you plan to use or plan on pulling the body off and starting over, unless you just don't care how it looks when you are done.  Ooooh yeah,  Great work Murcie-me,  I envy your project and you are going about it the right way, nice job!  Eric
