Hello everyone,

Recently I have started pricing out my AD640 build and a huge question hit me like a brick... "what about the interior"Huh

Thanks to trusted members here on the forum, we have a great start... but I don't know of us having an interior.  By all means, please correct me if I am wrong, but for making a very authentic vehicle, we need some authentic pieces.  This is what I have so far... feel free to comment:

Authentic pieces:
Steering wheel (provided by SC80 which I will replicate for all the builders out there)
E-Gear Cover (provided by GreenMeansGo which I will also replicate and have available)
Ignition and Vehicle key (found off of ebay or other sources)
Interior Handles (lambostuff.com)

... and thats about it.

I know that there are members on here making absolutely FANTASTIC pieces from scratch, but I was wondering if we can team up (like what SC80 was referring to on a different post) and get some of the big items like authentic door panels, center consoles, arm rests, dash boards... etc.)

SC80 was also possibly getting some interior switches, authentic, and maybe we'll get those replicated...

But seriously, lets all work together, and get some authentic pieces made so our cars are perfect (with our own little touches)!

Let me know what you think!

Murcie-me has the Dash, the dash pod, center console, and door cards. Thats basically the whole interior, If you give all these components to an upholstery guy he can do the rest. Basically strip the seats and reupholster them, and cover everything else in leather and carpet.

TwilightZ,

Thank you for your insight, I will check with those members...

SC80,
The exchange is roughly around 1 GPB = 1.8 USD.  Does that dashboard come with the instrument cluster "hood" and the upper and lower dash panels, and maybe the passenger handle?  It would be a dream come true to build my car as a RHD... that would really stir up the authentic LP owners!  It seems like you are finding quite a few deals on authentic pieces... let me know what items you are being offered, maybe I can be apart of your team and help out a bit!

Oh! thats very generous of u.
but why would u wan to built yours as RHD? Isn't that u suppose to have LHD when u are in US?

i dont think they comes with the cluster's cover, passenger handle nor the lower part dash board.
but will confirm with them again if u insist on helping me to share it...while we might want to have few more UK Kit builder to share with us...
the dash itself is quoted GBP1200.
the whole center console is GBP 650.
aircond switches with cluster and the e-gears switches(without the egear plate and side small switches) is offered at GBP400 to be top up "IF" i buy those window, harzard,  side mirror flip switches from them....

I am sure you can find all that stuff cheaper. The AC switches are not necessary since they are covered in the genuine car and not visible unless you open their door.

its door sills.....unfortunately, its sold...we were little too late...

we need more members for these!
the more members we got, the cheaper we get things done perfectly...
we buy parts from salvage and ebay. all equal share...

the guy who pay little more will get to have the genuine part.
pay a low fees for hughes to mould it and make carbon out of it...
own member get to buy the replicated one from hughes at cost price...

Anyone.? Wink

hughes and green:
i'll make payment tomorow....

i also bought a set interior of switches myself at £400 and contribute them(like what i did to the steering wheels).
depends on hughes if he can make something out of them...mould the top or use as sample to surf around for similar one...

they are switches of :

-5pc at the driver side( R , doom light, dim light
 and 2x front lights switch),
-2pc both doors lock/unlock switch,
-2pc window (up/down)
-harzard
-1pc side view mirror retract
-1pc fuel cover
-1pc left and right window(up/down)
-1pc mirror angle control
-1pc front lift up
-1pc TCS
-1pc air scoop(bat wing)
-some switches fittings

if hughes can replicate/mould them without dismantle/damage them, hughes, u got my green light to go...dismantle these switches is not a good idea as they have springs in them....really hard to put them back together...(Hughes, hope u dont mind)...
so guys get to have the authentic look of the genuine one....
as for those non members, u can contact Hughes and let him make some little fortune out of his time and sweat...he charge very very low...
No, me or greenmeansgo don't have share on those profit...its meant for hughes..
we only get to have our parts in carbon at return at "material cost price"...special thanks to Hughes... Grin don't envy... Grin Grin

Murcie-me, u can try contact hughes about the switches as u told me yours is the flat to switches. see if hughes can make something out of those switches like round top cap and stick them on your flat top switches...
i just don't know...i will try to get more genuine stuff for u guys...

for those expensive parts, i can't do much but need some more member's help and share with me....

i just cant imagine the out come after we obtain all the genuine look parts at interor and they are in carbon!!! richboyz ricer will be jealous!
LOLOL....

below is few picts for brain poisoning Grin
