Ok my guys who are covering the polystyrene in epoxy are saying its taking over a day to dry. Is that correct ?

Yes, it may vary from one type to another.
The mixture ratio also need to be very accurate.
Other important factors are the ambiant temperature and humidity level. It must be warm and dry.
Last, a thin coat will take more time to cure than a thicker one.

This may be a dumb question, but I haven't been able to find this locally. Where can I buy epoxy resin? I dont need too much right now as I am only making a 1/5 scale car. Any help would be great!

I prefer to go to a store locally and buy it rather than the internet because I wanted to start working on it this week.

Did you use hardner?

Heat lamp might get it to kick if you mixed it properly.

Was mixed 2:1 as stated on the mix

How is the weather? is it raining? too cold?

Be careful about heating it, it may shrink the PS. I´m having similar problems with a PS model that I´m building right now, it´s a 1:8 scale model, and it´s taking so much time to dry due to the weather.

It usualy takes 24 hr at 78 degrese   do not rush to dry
