Hello,
Is there a certain engine out there that can be modified (Maybe a powerful v6, b/c i know a v8 cannot make the sound.)  to make that life like lambo murci sound?
Engine should be able to go 0-60 around 3.5 seconds or close to that range, 300hp+ .. But most importantly it needs to make that sound.. Nothing kills a replica then a sound of a guzzling v8 that just tells the world "Hey Im a phony!!"  I heard stories about a 180degree crank shaft but they dont work with v8's.. What are your Thoughts on that new bmw 335i engine? Please share your knowledge of what you know.. Also recommend me to engines that would be best for fast acceleration and that beautiful sound!
ThankS!!

I been searching for months now and nothing comes close. The only engine I found that sounds the same is a sport bike engine.

Wouldn't a bmw v12 with the right kind of exhaust work?

How about throwing in a turbo to up the power output?

My friend Rico (Staggardlook) ran a true dual exhaust without the catalytic converter, and the thing sounds great! On low RPM's it has a smooth sound that pretty quite, but when you get on it, the thing screems! It sounds best from about 1600 RPM's up to 3500 RPM. I forget what kind of mufflers he used, but I'll find out.

This v8 actually sounds like an exotic car with that exhaust.. Kinda surprised.. but I wonder if this engine would be easy to get a hold of.. Thoughts Merci-Me?

if you drive behind a lp640 you will hear that none of those comes close.the lambo sounds loud and raspy and will rob you of your hearing on hard multiple down shifts.how do i know?because me and an lp640 like to play in traffic once or twice a week on my way to work in southern cali.a sport bike with after market pipe sounds the closest.but we are talking cars so i will give you my $.02 worth.my 350z with daul cat backs and no resonators sounds close if mr.640 isnt around.i dont know how to post video from my phone but i have a nice clip of it on my cell.i can email it to somebody that can post it here if you want.

I think you are banging your head against a brick wall to get the right sound from a different engine unless it’s a tuned V12 (quick revving), a V6 is a quick revving engine so you are on the right track with that. Put me right if im wrong but its how many explosions the car makes from the combustion chamber that would make it right also the volume and fuel-air mixture in the chamber would need to be correct to get the right explosion sound. More fuel and air even in the same size chamber would create a bigger bang. So I think you need to work out the chamber volume of the murci, how many explosions per second and find a V6 that is close, Example, The murci is a V12 6.2 or more if LP640 each combustion chamber has around a 500cc piston, so you would need a 3L V6 to attempt to pull it of, that’s if it has as many explosions in a second. I am aware that the valve ports and a few other things come into it but it’s a start. My theory may be wrong but at least it sounds technical even if it is wrong
Faker is right to say the only thing that comes close is a bike engine or maybe two together. If I get time this week I will record my murci for you so you can scratch your heads thinking

Guys;

I took my car down to a sports exhaust shop last week, they make everything bespoke;

I have a 3.8L v6 Pontiac Grand Prix engine nothing special, they built an exhaust for me with an air flow that sounds exactly like a formular 1 car;

Somthing to do with making the air circulate twice of something, it cost £350.00 so I suppose $680.00. Ill post a vid link when the car comes back from the workshop in a couple of weeks,

It should not be hard to recreate this sound.........really!!

Ill get some more informaiton on how they did it, they were not too perplexed.

Alternatively I had a Nissan 300ZX 280 BHP which had large pipes about 5 - 6 inches and this was exotic car sounding.
