Ok one of my little side tracks away from my DNA360 is on a Lotus Elise that is slightly worse for wear...

I have been searching for various parts for it and started to realize in the US there is a real issue with lots being um..driven rather too enthusiastically (meeting something hard to stop quickly) and not much out there in the way of older cars to grab bits from.

It looks like I'm going to have to get parts from the UK as they have been equally enthusiastically driven over there - but for a little longer than over here!

Here goes the Munky into dream mode...  Roll Eyes

Anyway long story short, Lotus wants $4400 for the front upper clam shell, $1000 for the little a pillar and similar for the back clam shell and trunk lid (if you can find them in stock at any of the dealers)

When I bring a set of panels over from the UK (Was thinking of going Exige rather than Elise) I was wondering how much it would cost to make a mold and fill the growing market.

Obviously there would be changes to the panels - maybe call it the American Motorsport edition or something similar to ensure I don't bare the wrath of Lotus.

Also recommendations of who could make them for me would be great.

I understand not everyone will necessarily want to post so PM me as well if you know of anyone up to it or you can give me a ball park of costs.

Thanks

Munky
