ha ha wow well I havnt really had a car that was bad on me so I dont know. Iv had my 1995 lumina since I first got my licence back then and I havnt had too many problems with it except the tranny going (which could have been my fault since I was young and stupid) and its up to 330,000kms. I really hate to get rid of it but im afraid of it breaking down one day. Any suggestions on my next car? DeLorean00 you say you work for a car dealer, I was looking at Cadillac CTS around 2003-2007, is there much trouble with those? I want something reliable, im the kinda person that keeps my cars for 15+ years and want something to last.

To be honest we have not had enough CTS's in yet for me to form an opinion. But normally I recommend people to stay away from american cars. Your best bet would be a used Honda or Toyota. I know they may not be the most exciting cars on the road but they will last forever and never give you problems. I would also suggest for longevity reasons to buy the lower end models, i.e. civics, corollas, 4 cyl camrys, 4 cyl accords. The reason being is that they tend to have less gadgets and items that will break. And the Japanese 4 cyl motor are proven, but there have been problems with the 6 cyl motors. Also the manual transmissions tend to be better then the automatics. One last thing the Hondas and Toyotas never depreciate, and they are easier to sell when the time comes.

Hi to all. Back to topic, I'll vote for The Trabant, built in the German Democratic Republic (East Germany). It was built with alot of plastic and a terribly dirty engine. Naturally we never had it in North America. You may find it amusing, but there is a budding collector interest in these cars.

The chevy sprint...3 cylinders just wasn't enough!..because of their engine size...they had to work extra hard so they died young.

Worst car ever!
The first car I ever bought new was a 1979 Triumph Spitfire.

The first time I brought it in for dealer warranty service. The list was longer than my typical 2 week grocery list.  I noticed there were tiny dots on the white finish. Turns out they were pits in the paint. The body department repainted the car twice before it looked acceptable. Within the first 3 months it also went to the dealer for chrome falling off the bumper, drivers seat was falling apart, the overdrive shift knob fell off and kept jumping in and out of overdrive, The electronic ignition gave out, the carburetor had an internal leak resulting in a 2000 rpm idle speed. The horn stopped working, gauges worked when they wanted to and it leaked oil. There is probably a lot more but that was 30 years ago. I forget.

The one thing I do remember is to not to buy a car from the British.

Do you all know why they drink warm beer? Because they own refrigerators that are made by Lucus!!    Case Closed!
