Ok, I have worked for a car dealer for the past 10 years and driven and been around almost every car out there. IMO the worst car ever made by far is:

DODGE INTREPID
2.7 V6 Model

This model has tons of problems. The 2.7 has tons of faults and they blow up all the time. Chrysler should have recalled this motor, but they didn't they just kept producing them even though they were aware of the serious flaws. Also the transmissions fail constantly and are very expensive to replace. The HVAC systems fail, CD changers fail, Power Windows ALWAYS fail, steering racks fail, etc. Just everything on this car is flawed.

Websites devoted to the failure of 2.7 motors;
http://www.oilsludge.com/
http://www.dodgechryslerengineproblems.com/
http://www.dodgeproblems.co...engine-failure.shtml

Be aware and don't buy an DODGE INTREPID.

So what car do you think is the worst ever made? Cast your vote.

^ My dad has one, we have been through numerous parts, 3 transmissions (1 blew up in a week) at least 20 switches, electronic stuff, oxygen sensors, and it would shut off or randomly buck in the middle of the road. Dangerous.

In OZ has to be the Ford Capri Convertible

Everything was rooted on the cars, they leak water in winter, the Air-Con never worked in summer, they leak oil from every where ... in OZ a lot of people called it the Ford Lemon!

I bought one of these cars for $50 once. Never even drove it, got bored with it and sold it to a junk yard. Seemed like a crappy car.

Ahh yes Ford trucks do tend to have some problems. This is common in the Ford line of automobiles.

Yeh I vote for the chevy chevette and citation.  Not only were these poorly built and engineered, they were pivotal in the decline of american built cars and the rise of imports in the US.  I was told by a GM engineer that was a friend of mine that the car was designed to fail in 30k-50k miles.  This was engineered into the design for multi reasons:  first the car was cheap and should be considered disposable, second to show the public these "cheap" cars (including the import competition) were inferior, and they did not do their homework, they actually thought these cars were on par with the honda, datsuns, of the time.  (I have a friend that still has a '79 civic with over 400,000 miles on it, engine and trans never been out, a/c still blows cold)  Not many chevettes could say that with 40k miles.

What a black eye.

The Chevettes, Pintos and Citations rusted away long before the AC quit working. The rack and front suspension from the Citation was the same used in the Fiero.

Ha, my Dad's Citation was destined to be my first car, until my sister wrecked it.  Ugly as heck, but I was all about i back in the day.  I was pretty upset when it was gone.  Cheesy

I don't know about Worst Car ever made, but the Ugliest, by far has to be the 1973-1979 Mustangs (Mustang II?).  Those things are hideous.  There's a 'Cobra' model that is at all of the local car shows.  It's even worse, all riced out with spoilers, stripes and decals all over.
