There was a question about a donor car for the Zonda on page 4, and I just thought that the Fiero or MR2 suggestions fit.

The advantage to using a Fiero type vehicle for a donor is that the size is a bit smaller than all of our favorites, so no matter your rear engine vehicle taste, you can alway modify a Fiero to fit the build.

Maybe I am alone on this, but for me, instead of looking at the wheel base for choosing a donor, I would rather look at the dash board location in relation to the front wheels.  If those dimensions are close, you can make it work... if they are out of a given tolerance, it doesn't really seem worth the effort to reconstruct the entire front clip of a vehicle.  If that were the case, I would rather just have a custom chassis fabricated, which is always another option for any vehicle build.

So wheelbase should not be the first thing to go by when choosing a donor?

Also what's the meaning of " Track "  when we talk about car dimensions?
The front pair of wheel's width against the rear?

I believe the track is the center of both front wheels measured across the width of the car. The same goes for the rear.
Don't think this is a big issue since you could use spacers to adjust this.

you got my vote for the Merc. lOW, WIDE.  NICE
But has any one thought of using a Mitsu 3000GTO or eclispe. Awsome power and Twin Turbo too and can be tuned to the bollox. Not sure on wheel base and UK Prices are dirt cheap for the mK1 VERSIONS.

Jimmy if you need someone to make moulds or pull panels gimme a shout, im in!!! I would definately try and mate these panels up to a GTO. Which is already low and awsomly wide.

We (the kit community) are refering to that as the Dino or F250 Concept and I am working on it.  I have a design in front of it and trying to opperate a business at the same time.  On a scale of 0% (just starting out) to 100% (having the molds made and the first body pulled) we are at about 25-30%.  Between the economy and depending on others I don't see there being a fast track to get it speeded up.  But for those who know me I am relently and persistant.  Unless this just does not make economic sense to complete I will build this car.
