Hi
Fino you stated yellow does not come in metalic, but this is only a suggestion, you should take a look at the 2002 Lamborghini 6.0 or the 2003 Lamborghini Murcielago in yellow, that color looks really nice and when the light hits it, it just  looks amazing, just yesterday i went to the Lambo dealership and saw both of the cars in person, and you can not really see what what I'm talking about from pics, that yellow has alot  of metalic and/or pearl  Cool I had to squint to look at it on sunlight  and i think it looks really nice. just trying to help out.  Smiley

I have never seen a Lamborghini in my life.  My painter did show me some yellow with pearl and metalic added and we didn't care for it.  I kind of have to go by my painter's advice because if I tell him what to do and it comes out sh... then he can tell me "I told you so".  He is good I trust him.

Thank you
Fino

I changed my mind. My car is going to be painted Saleen S7 Orange. I just could not find the solid colors I liked for the fade/blend.

This is the color it will be painted.

This was my original color pick but I could not get the color. I talked to the PPG rep. and he found out the color for me. Grin

You are correct I saw the paint chip for the Lambo and it is metalic/pearl.

Hi
I just have to tell you that color is really nice!!! I think you are definetly making the right choice and it would complement the shape of your car, plus you won't have to worry about your painter, blending the two colors from before.
By the way please don't think I was trying to say "you were wrong" about the color,I was only trying to help.
Now, are you going to do the lights housing on black like the Saleen, or are you goint to do it all one color like on a Ferrari 360?. I personally think it would look better all one color like the 360 but that is just my opinion. Wink

ps I am not very computer oriented so how does one resize a pic , the pics i have are huge?

One of the easy programs I use is PhotoStudio.

http://www.arcsoft.com/products/software/en/photostudio.html

On the top menu go:
<Transform>  <resize> and make it any size you want.

As for the color I wanted the color of the Saleen S7 to begin with.  I plan to paint the headlights the same color as the car.

I absolutely love your choice of colour scheme combination...

My self i was thinking about going with a chameleon job like that but you know how it is, you see something you like, and you forget you need to pay the bills type of thing Smiley  I am going to with a V8 Archie Finale build, i hope that maybe we could exchange a few tips on the builds, what do you say??

Best of Luck

What is the paint code for that ppg paint? It looks similiar to another Saleen color I was planning on using but it was a BASF paint, called beryllium.

Have you been to my website?  www.edstephens.net

Could you make your Sig. shorter please (it's 1024 x 200).  On my monitor I have to scrowl over to read the rest of the page.  Does anyone else have the same problem?

I am not flaming only trying to help.

You could try this one:

"img]http://www.kitcar.ca/Forum/Uploaded_Images/top2.jpg[/img"  just add the [ ] before and after the img

I will have to ask my painter.
