What do you think about this color for my Fino? Grin

Orange on top and yellow on the bottom (blended).

The back, mirrors and side scoops will not be black.
Mine does not have "T tops" so the top will be orange

I got the photo from Pennock's. I found out that Pennock's does not like kit cars at all.

First the car looks pretty good, nice change from the regular red stuff.
second, thats why we are here, too much arguing about whos car is faster, and who is the best driver. I use to send ever evening on pennnocks, most of the people don't give anyone, other than the regulars the time of the day. I suprised cliff hasn't shut down the site again, between the name calling and backstabbing.

Thanks for the positive feed back.

I don't want to turn this into a flame thread at all but I definitely agree with you.  I was on Pennock's  since about January of this year.  I went to a meet with a bunch of Michigan Pennock's people and everyone was very nice, so there are some good people on Pennock's.

I am in hopes that Ari's Forum will be what a true forum is all about.  HELPING OTHER PEOPLE WITH THE SAME COMMON INTEREST. Grin Grin

Just an update.

I took the car to the body shop on 08/05/2002 and they are still block sanding the car after I did the best I could.  The doors are off so the complete door opening will be the same color as the car.

Here is a photo taken on Friday 08/16/2002.

After the base coat is on I am having an artist draw the graphics on the front end before the clear coat goes on.

Go for it Fino!  I really like the color scheme.  Don't fret too much over Pennock's...most of them are open minded enough to appreciate real art and beauty.

I never say negative things about people in public. Grin

But my experence with Pennock's was when I started a thread no one replied.  Other people asked the same question and the thread just grew. I watched the flame against Archie and was afraid to comment for fear of being flamed also (I would stand up in Archie defence).

After six month of being a member I thought it would be impolite to just leave and not answer a question because I did not view the site any more.  This was my last thread on Pennock's.

Stimpy told me "I sugest painting a lovely lavender color that will match your panty clad A$$ and be done with it. STFU, newbie,".

------------------------
Dumba$$ told me AMEN stimpy!!!
just because the fiero makes a great platform for a kit car doesent make it a kit car forum
some folks here DO have kit cars, but this IS NOT A KIT CAR FORUM, its a FIERO FORUM!!!!
you want answers to questions on your kit car go to google and type in KIT CAR FORUMS!!!

this might sound harsh but i guess if i had a kit car on a VW frame, i wouldnt go looking on the VW forums for answers to my questions

im sorry but some people just piss me off!!
--------------------------------------

I don't feel welcome on their forum anymore.

I hope this forum has adult people that want to help others Grin.

First...

I LOVE the color!!!  That is really cool.  Especially on that Body with all the nice curves.  What a looker Wink

Second...

I frequent both Forums (and a lot more) and Pennock's is a good information base but you're right... they don't like kits for the most part.

I simply forget to mention that my project is a KIT project and stick the point of the questions where it's pertinent to the Fiero part.

I made the mistake of telling people there wheat I did with my 3.4L TDC (DOHC) motor swap into my 88 Fiero GT.  Had some knock down, drag outs with a few guys there.

Still, when all is said and done.  I still have my project and all you guys here Smiley

Third...

LOVE THE COLOR Wink

Hi fino
I just wanted to say that picture of the car on top looks really nice but i think that paint is the type that changes colors, and not two colors "blended" or "faded",it is the type of paint some people call "cameleon", like the one on the mustang cobra and the Saleen. I hope this helps and I'm looking forward to seeing  your finish project.
sincerely

I have the color book from House of Kolor Inc. and all the Kandys are very dark to start with and need sun light to make the color change to a lighter color.  Since the sun will hit the top of the car it will turn lighter first.  This would make the top yellow and the bottom orange.  I want the reverse.
I had to go with solid colors (yellow does not come in metalic) and my painter is a "PRO", but he does have a tough project ahead of him.  There will be Kandy (cameleon) on the car I just won't say where until the photos are posted.

Hey Fino, nice choice, can't wait to see the finished product!
And, yes I read some of the comments on Pennocks'. Don't let it get to you... You may need to grow some 'alligator skin'!! Grin
Just think for a minute... You & Stimpy's cars are both at the same car show. Now, who's car has got the crowd?? That's what I thought Grin
enjoy the thought!
