In an effort to save bandwidth and prevent the wasting of disk space, I'm testing out a method to only allow image uploading by users who are kitcarsforum.com "patrons" class. There is no specific amount you need to pay (Even $1.00 is fine!) to become a patron, just something higher than $1.00 (The processing fees on $1.00 are 34 cents, meaning only 66 cents are actually received).

The easiest way to pay is via Paypal. You can use the following link:

When submitting via Paypal please include your username in the "additional information" section of the form.

If you can not/do not wish to use paypal email me and we'll work some other form of payment out.

Please understand those who become Kitcarsforum.com patrons will not receive any other increased influence or privilege as a result of their membership aside from the ability to upload images, as well as the general envy of their peers.

By instituting this policy I hope to:
- reduce the amount of disk space wasted by people uploading images not related to kit cars
- prevent retailers from using Kitcarsforum.com's bandwidth without giving something back to the community in return
- Give a direct reward back to current and future Kitcarsforum.com patron members

And finally, reducing the amount of disk space consumed will help keep the costs of both the hosting account and bandwidth down, allowing Kitcarsforum.com to exist for many years to come.

his hosting is nothing usually expensive, but the site has been up for years and costs add up. i would support donations even if the site was hosted for free, since it's voluntary. people can use imageshack or other image hosting services to post photos over 90kb if they want.
