8)I also know of a company that is building a 360. It will be based on the new MR2 Syder and will be 7% smaller than the real thing.

I can’t post any pic's of the work done to date but I will soon.

EmbarrassedOnly prob's for you guy in the State they are only going to build turnkeys first, but latter they will be releasing it for DIY fitting.

The car will cost over here about £35k and all the dimensions will be correct just 7% smaller.

any news from  u.k project

I like the front and the rear the center of the car is ugly to me. I do not like the vents on the top rear qrts.
dewey,in what area is the 360 ugly.that damn car is stunning.its an absolute masterpiece of design.its so ultramodern looking
OK, OK, OK. Just between you & me,
I said its ugly because I can't afford one.  Embarrassed

lots of talk, there were at least 5 rumored projects going on.
so far only a few car elements have been made public.
no official kits have been out other than the mr2 kit which is
dead since ferrari cut it off immediately.

i REALLY want a 360,i really wanted an f50,but i got tired of lies and people trying to scam me.i have the facilities and know how.realistically how big is the demand for these [360] panels.does anybody know of anyone that has a set of panels that could be splashed ,for a price.not pictures of styrofoam ,or rumors of panels in march or sept/novomber,or next year.ive seen a picture of a black 360 replica a while back somewhere ,does anybody remember this car or know the guy.this car is long overdue.

steve did the mr2 kit but when ferrari got on him, he got rid
of the molds. there's rumors on where the molds are but none
have been proven.

*someone* has OEM panels for the car he's building on a corvette
chassis that's heavily modified. no news on what he will do
when it is ready. he might or might not make molds.

nothing going on any time soon Tongue

I spoke to the fibreglass  company that did Steves Molds. They told me they were bought and then forced to be destroyed. This version was shorter in the back to fit the MR2 spyder Wheel Base

As it has ben said NUMEROUS times before Johns 360 is going to be his own car. Not likely to be offered as a "Kit"

I myself know the maker and I was informed that the molds were broken as well Cry. Hopefully in about 2 years after Ferrari does another car then when someone does another 360 kit they wont shut it down so quick.

Mike D:

I think bigpimpin has gone through a metamorphous and has come to realize we are all (most of us anyway) normal kit builders so we will use the real name of Gerald T...  What do you think?

I mean about the “normal kit builders” part?

Mike:

How do you feel about the normal part?  I know your in this kneed deep as well.  And I think he has good ideas too.  It is great to have this forum to exchange the ideas, eh!

I learned that "eh!" on htis forum too.  LOL!

I am having my coffee before venturing into the garage to tackle more of the top construction, a cold 64 degrees today in Tampa.  I need the welder on to help warm up.

It's a cool 30 degrees here.. I'd be lovin' 64, That's about what
my thermostat is set on in the shop. after working for a bit
you forget about the temp. Has anyone ever noticed how
most people look forward to the weekends, just to relax.
And we look forward to the weekends just to work. Grin

The good news was it got up to 53 not 64.  I got a lot done in spite of the temp.  My son Bronson and I welded up a convertible top all day long.  Man, that is a lot of cigars and coffee.

I know what you mean. Now I have an MR2 for nothing. I decided to use my name instead of a quote. My roomate said my quote was cheesy.

Hay thanks for the positive Smiley. For a while I felt like I was a dart board. As for the big pimpin I got that idea because of all this rap music on how people are showing of the cars, rims, jewelry, and all that good stuff.
